See below for details of the activities for children and families that will take place in the Cathedral in August!

The theme throughout August will be that of journeys.

Difficult Journeys
Wednesday 2 August
Activities will have a focus on Moses and will be aimed at younger children. There will also be stimuli for older children based in St. Georges Chapel with a focus on the Centenary of the Battle of Passchendaele.

King Richard’s Journeys
Monday 7 – Friday 11 August
10.30 – 3.30
. In the gardens, there will be puppet shows, craft and music by Bill Brookman and Friends while inside the Cathedral the focus on both physical and spiritual journeys. Bring a picnic and enjoy the fun.

Our journey through life
Wednesday 16 August
Visit the activity stations and take time to reflect on yourself, others, the world and God. This will include use of some of the Breathe resources and is aimed at secondary age children.

A dangerous journey with a surprising end
Wednesday 23 August
Activities will be based on the parable of the Good Samaritan and will consider “Who is my neighbour?”

Kite flying journeys
Saturday 26 August
12.00 – 4.00.
Come fly a virtual kite through India, Syria or Afghanistan as part of the Journeys Festival which celebrates the creative talent of exceptional refugee and asylum seeker artists.

All Wednesday activities will be from 11.00 – 12.30 and 2.00 – 4.00.
