Leicester Cathedral Choir were featured on BBC Radio 3’s Essential Classics this morning.  Ghostly Grace, the anthem commissioned by Leicester Cathedral from composer Judith Bingham for the reinterment of King Richard III earlier this year, was played as part of presenter Rob Cowan’s interview with historical novelist Philippa Gregory.

The anthem, which was recently recorded as part of an upcoming CD release including music performed throughout the week of the Reinterment, can be heard approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes into Thursday 27August’s edition of Essential Classics, which can be heard again at BBC Radio 3’s website and should be available for the next 30 days.

The full Cathedral Choir recording is due for release later this year.
