The Cathedral Flower Arrangers Committee meets three or four times a year to plan and in addition provide flower placements in the Cathedral on a weekly basis. Many of the placements are either created or given as a donation by members of the Cathedral community.
As well as providing placements for special times in the Church’s year such as Easter, Christmas and Harvest, the Cathedral Flower Arrangers also provide placements for weddings and other major festivals. Recent highlights for which the Flower Arrangers have provided spectacular placements include Royal Visit in 2012, the Flower Festival in 2013, and the Installation of the Very Revd David Monteith as Dean of Leicester.
Leicester Cathedral Flower Arrangers are part of a small group of flower arranging clubs and societies who are affiliated to the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies.
Experienced flower arrangers are always welcome to maintain the high standard to which we strive. For more information please contact the Cathedral Office.
