CHALK is an informal and relaxed time of about an hour, catering for 4-14 year olds during the Sunday 10.30 Eucharist service where children, and adults, can spend a while discovering about what it is to be a Christian.  Those who lead the sessions each week will guide the children through a different aspect of the Christian faith, by choosing a different topic or theme following the Church year and lectionary.  Using Bible stories, prayer, drama and craft the children have a time of listening, sharing and creative activity.

CHALK is usually held in the Cathedral’s Old Song School, where a warden will show you in. As we encourage children’s interest in the wider community, we bring them back to their families in time to share in the Eucharist together.

Toys are available in the main body of the Church to help keep smaller children occupied.

Please note that children under 4 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
