Leicester Cathedral is vibrant and its vision is to be welcoming, prayerful and all inclusive. This is a particularly exciting time following the reinterment of King Richard III, and the growing number of people visiting and worshipping in the Cathedral. To achieve its vision, the Cathedral relies on an ever growing network of volunteers across the broad range of its work. We are always looking to increase our team and in particular looking to recruit:
Volunteer Welcomers and Guides
We need to expand our group of welcomers and guides to the Cathedral, and we would especially be interested in hearing from people who can offer up time at weekends.
We are looking for people who can interact with a wide variety of members of the public and can fit into a friendly committed group of volunteers and Cathedral staff. There will be help and training from existing welcomers and guides. The number of hours committed will be flexible and variable, although a single session usually lasts around 3 hours.
The Cathedral has a volunteer policy outlining the Cathedral’s commitment to the volunteers and the volunteers’ commitment to the Cathedral – a synopsis of this can be found below, together with a Role Description for each of the roles.
