Leicester Cathedral is vibrant and its vision is to be welcoming, prayerful and all inclusive. Following the reinterment of King Richard III, and the growing number of people visiting and worshipping in the Cathedral, this is an exciting time for our community. To achieve its vision, the Cathedral relies on an ever growing network of volunteers across the broad range of its work. We are always looking to increase our team and in particular looking to recruit:

Volunteer Welcomers and Guides

We are keen to expand our existing group of welcomers and guides. If you are reliable, committed, enjoy working in a team and are able to interact with a broad range of people we would very much like to hear from you.

Successful applicants will be given induction training and on-going support from existing welcomers and guides. The number of hours committed will be flexible and variable, although a single session usually lasts around 3 hours.

The Cathedral has a volunteer policy outlining the Cathedral’s commitment to its volunteers and the volunteers’ commitment to the Cathedral. Role descriptions can be accessed via the links below along with an application form.

Applications should be made by letter or sent electronically to the Volunteer Manager, Rebecca Hale, at rebecca.hale@leccofe.org. Applicants will be asked to attend a formal interview at St Martins House before suitability can be determined.
