Leicester Cathedral is open to the public from Wednesdays to Sundays: 11.00am-3.00pm on Wed-Sat, and from 12.00pm-3.00pm on Sundays. For more information, please click here.

We are aware this is a very difficult time and will prompt a number of further questions. We will update the Cathedral website on the Covid-19 FAQs page and issue new guidance as soon as we are able, and share through the Cathedral’s social media accounts as well. Do keep checking back.

Leicester Cathedral can be booked to hold special services and public events (e.g. concerts, lectures, receptions etc.), subject to availability, all year round.

For most events the Cathedral’s capacity is between 300 and 400. The exact number (particularly considering sightlines) will depend on the nature of the event and the layout chosen, and should be discussed when booking.

A Green Room holding up to 40 people is included with your booking and toilet facilities in St Martins House can be arranged.

If your event requires music we have a grand piano available to hire for a reasonable rate.

Depending on the seating capacity required there is normally space available to serve refreshments.
