Healing, reconciliation and restoration are integral to the Gospel story and message. They have, therefore, a proper place within our public prayer and worship. This includes the laying on of hands and anointing with oil. We understand Christian healing not necessarily as a cure, but involving God and his grace in bringing about change, whether within an individual or a community. Here we come to Christ, seeking holiness and wholeness, through a transformative process and in the light, not just of this world, but of eternity.

The Cathedral holds a special Eucharist in celebration of Wholeness and Healing every Tuesday at 1.00pm. Within this it is possible to receive the laying on of hands and anointing, either for oneself or for someone else not present.
