Discipleship

Here at Leicester Cathedral, we invite you to journey with us as we explore what it means to follow Christ and grow in faith together.

Our Discipleship programme is guided by three movements:

  1. Moving Up - Listening to God's love and letting who we are be shaped by this love;
  2. Moving In - Deepening God's love by learning together and from each other as a community;
  3. Moving Out - Sharing God's love by engaging the world around us and recognising God's presence within it.

"Discipleship starts with being alone with God in solitude; then it creates a fellowship, a community of people with whom the mission is being lived; and finally this community goes out together to heal and to proclaim good news."

Henri Nouwen (Priest)

Questions Together

WHAT: Our monthly discussion group aims to offer a friendly space to ask questions (and practise giving answers!) about faith and discipleship. We are often joined by guest speakers who offer their own reflections, too.

WHEN/WHERE: Once a month, after the Sunday Eucharist, from 12:15-13:00

Cathedral Book Club (Online)

WHAT: A friendly group of people from the Cathedral community gather on Zoom once a month to discuss a book. Recently we have read works by Paula Gooder, Cole Arthur Riley and Rowan Williams.

WHEN/WHERE: Once a month, online, email us (click here) if you are interested in joining.

We also offer a range of seasonal courses, events and activities, including workshops and quiet mornings. Please take a look at our latest seasonal brochure for more information on our current plans.
