National Lottery Heritage Fund – Thanks To You

Since The National Lottery’s first draw took place on 19 November 1994, more than £40 billion has been raised for good causes in the areas of arts, sport, heritage and community – that’s £30 million a week making a difference to lives of people and communities throughout the whole of the UK. Here at Leicester Cathedral we have benefitted greatly from this public funding, which supported the reinterment of King Richard III with a grant of £94,500 and the current Leicester Cathedral Revealed project with a total grant of £3.3million.

We are delighted to announce that this year we will be taking part in the #ThanksToYou campaign celebrating the 25th anniversary of the National Lottery! Bring along your National Lottery ticket or scratch card between the dates of 23 to 30 November for a free guided tour of our historic site, as well as a 10% discount at the White Rose Café next door.
