St George’s Day festival moves to Cathedral area
Plans are taking shape for Leicester's St George's Day festival, with a new location and format for the popular event in 2024. From this year, the city council will host the one-day event in the historic area around the Cathedral in the heart of Leicester's 'Old Town', with a packed programme of indoor and outdoor events on Saturday 20 April.

The Bishop of Loughborough to be installed
The Rt Revd Saju Muthulaly will be installed as Bishop of Loughborough at a special Choral Evensong service in Leicester Cathedral on Sunday 28 January 2024 at 3.30pm. His installation was delayed due to the closure of the Cathedral for its Leicester Cathedral Revealed renovations.
