Thanksgiving as Cathedral, City, and County mark the tenth anniversary of Richard III’s reinterment
Leicester Cathedral was the site of a poignant and historic gathering on Wednesday 26 March 2025, as the city and county came together to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the reinterment of King Richard III - celebrating the enduring legacy of the last Plantagenet king and the transformative impact his rediscovery has had on Leicester.

Richard III 10th Anniversary Service | Live-stream
Join us on a truly momentous journey as we mark the tenth anniversary of the reinterment of King Richard III with a Civic Service of Thanksgiving on the day of the anniversary. This will be a special and unique service, both honouring Richard and celebrating us as Leicester, county and city, gathering people together as part of this story. Doors will open at 4.45pm and all are welcome.

Covid-19 National Day of Reflection
Sunday 9 March 2025 is the Day of Reflection across the UK for the Covid-19 pandemic, marking five years since the pandemic began as we continue to remember those affected. Prayers will be said at our Sunday services: 10.30am Eucharist and 3.30pm Choral Evensong.
