Philharmonia performer announced for Recital

We are excited to welcome Philharmonia Fellow Ellie Blamires on flute for our Lunchtime Recital on Monday 12 February at 12.30pm. Admission is free, with donations gratefully received to support the work of the Cathedral.

Ellie enjoys a diverse career of solo, chamber, and orchestral work. Most recently a member of Southbank Sinfonia, she now regularly performs with many of the country's leading orchestras.

Ellie is a founding member of the multi-award winning wind quintet, Ensemble Renard, who gave their debut recital at the Aldeburgh Festival in 2023.

Recent solo engagements include premiering Colin Matthews' Five Untitled Pieces for flute and piccolo.
