All are welcome to attend this year’s Armed Forces Day Service, in support and celebration of the work that our Armed Forces do.

In our service today we are joined by representatives of the current Armed Forces, alongside those who have served in previous generations; those whose role it is to provide support and welfare to our forces past and present and their families; representatives of the Royal British Legion, and of the civic, public and commercial life of our city and county, as well as by members of the public.

The Service is followed by a parade of Standards, Service Personnel, Veterans, and Cadets behind the pipes and drums of the Seaforth Highlanders. The parade will leave Jubilee Square at 11.40 a.m. and the Lord-Lieutenant and Lord mayor will take the Salute close to the Clock Tower. There will be a range of Armed Forces static displays in Humberstone Gate between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
