Lent and Easter 2024

Welcome to Leicester Cathedral. Whether you have travelled from near or far we hope you will find there is a place for you in our programme of services and events over this season.

For Christians this is the most holy time of the year. We invite you to journey with us as we follow the story of Jesus through the wilderness time of Lent and the pain of his death to the joy of his resurrection, celebrated on Easter Day and over the weeks that follow.

As well as our Cathedral services, including choral services with our Cathedral Choir, the artist Iain McKillop's Stations of the Resurrection will form a striking backdrop to our weeks after Easter. Also on offer throughout this season are recitals and concerts, activities for children and families, and tours where you can enter into the fascinating history of this Cathedral site.

All are welcome at any of our services and events. We hope you enjoy your visit here – bring your friends and family back!

The Revd Canon Emma Davies
Canon Precentor
