The 13 bells of Leicester Cathedral were cast by John Taylor and Co of Loughborough in 1937 and are considered to be one of the best rings of bells in the country. The heaviest bell, the tenor, weighs cwts 25.0.2 in the note of D.
The ringers meet each Thursday to practise between 7.30 and 9.00 pm. Sunday ringing is between 9.45 and 10.30am. There is also occasional additional ringing for special occasions.
All ringers are welcome to join us. We also teach the art of bellringing. Contact in the first instance can be made through the Cathedral office.
