Chaplaincy at the Cathedral is a very satisfying service that holds a lot of promise and potential in helping reach out to people visiting the Cathedral in a caring, Christ-like and creative manner.

We have more than 200,000 visitors a year now – many are on a journey from tourist to pilgrim; some come for a place of sanctuary.

Do you enjoy pastoral encounters? Are you licensed for ministry? Would you enjoy the Cathedral community? Are you able to give at least one session a month?

If you are interested in applying to becoming a Cathedral Chaplain please contact Canon Rosy Fairhurst, Canon Chancellor via email: or ring on 0116 261 5345 for a chat.
