Music for the Summer

This summer here at Leicester Cathedral, we will have exciting opportunities to explore and enjoy stories – of Leicester/shire, of faith, of culture – as we celebrate the new life our restored Cathedral building is bringing.

High among our Summer Season this year is a wide offering of music, from special concerts, services, and more – from renowned concert pianist Ida Pelliccioli to our popular series of lunchtime recitals.

You can find more information below and on our website.

Leicester Cathedral is at the beating heart of our city and county, and for 900 years this building has been a place of welcome, worship, and music. We invite you to join in this adventure!

For her 2024 UK tour, renowned concert pianist Ida Pelliccioli has been inspired by the forgotten music of Spanish composer Manuel Blasco de Nebra (1750–1784). Her performance will take audiences on a journey from Blasco de Nebra's recently discovered keyboard music and Scarlatti's keyboard sonatas, through to the Viennese Classic style of Mozart and Schubert. Tickets available from Eventbrite.

Full details of all our services and events can be found on our website, or pick up a What's On booklet in the Cathedral.

It will be great to see you!
