Buswells Lodge Primary School's Year 2 classes sing the Lapland Joik 'Ole le loila', a traditional reindeer calling song in Sámi.

Junior Girl Chorister Isabelle sings 'While shepherds watched their flocks by night' to the tune Cranbrook, accompanied by Rosie Vinter.

St Patrick's Catholic Voluntary Academy Year 5s sing the Czech traditional song Zither Carol.

10 December

Lizzy Regan plays Buxtehude's Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland. Lizzy joined Leicester Cathedral Choir this academic year, and next year will be taking up the organ scholarship at Christ's College, Cambridge.

9 December

Hazel Community Primary School's Year 2 classes sing the traditional French song L'as-tu vu? (Did you see?) arranged by Rosie Vinter and accompanied by Chris Ouvry-Johns. Hazels are part of Leicester Cathedral's music outreach programme DioSing, and have fun weekly music lessons with a specialist teacher across the academic year.

Director of Music Chris Ouvry-Johns plays Max Reger's Con moto from Träume am Kamin on the Cathedral's new Steinway.

Scraptoft Valley Primary School's Year 4 classes sing Everybody's going on a sleigh ride by Teresa Jennings. Scraptoft are part of Leicester Cathedral's music outreach programme DioSing, and have fun weekly music lessons with a specialist teacher across the academic year.

Senior Girl Chorister Sarah sings O Holy Night by Adolphe Adam, accompanied by Simon Headley.

4 December

Cathedral Organist David Cowen plays The Holy Boy by John Ireland.

Five of the Cathedral Choir's Young Songmen sing Kings of Orient by J.H. Hopkins arranged by David Willocks, accompanied by David Cowen.

Sebastian sings Cicha noc, święta noc (Silent night), accompanied by Rosie Vinter. Sebastian is a Year 6 chorister in the Cathedral Choir. He joined during lockdown from Hazel Community Primary School (https://www.hazel.leicester.sch.uk/), who have been part of our schools' singing programme DioSing since it began in 2012.
